Is Your Agent the Right Agent?
If you needed a hip replacement, would you go to a surgeon who specializes in this type of operation or would you go to your cousin, the newly minted eye doctor? Does this sound like a silly question? Then try this one on for size: if you wanted to buy a home in central Toronto, would you hire a family friend who specializes in Mississauga? Yes, homes are homes, but body parts are body parts, too. Doubtful that anyone would go to the eye doctor for a hip replacement, so why do so many people not place as much importance on hiring an agent? Am I missing something? Or maybe it’s that the pros and cons of hiring the right agent are apparent to me because I see them every day. Perhaps someone can explain this to me?
